It would be the absolute lock for upset of the year. However it isn't happening. Not that it cant be done down the line, but sept 4th is just an opportunity to see the new offense, and see lots of room for improvement. My guess is that we will feel somewhat encouraged after the game, only to witness a complete dismantle in Ft Worth.

That will be the low water mark - and it will be generally a slow line up from there.

It would be bigger than Appalachian State beating Michigan back when Michigan was #4 in the country.

An Absolutely corrupt football program. And from a Baptist school. And we get scrutiny from the NCAA for minor things while schools so corrupt (remember PSU?) walk away. Disgusting! Glad Bennett is gone gone gone!

But not as big as beating #2 Texas in Austin in 1980 with a freshman QB starting his first game with a new offense put in the week before.

I actually think this would be bigger - since we were on our way toward improvement already in 1980 - but right now nobody really knows what we have.

Only comparison I could even fathom was the tie with A&M in 94 when the Aggies were undefeated and we were winless. My dad was at that game. I want to say he said SMU missed a field goal that would've won the game.

Not really true. We totally scrapped our offense from a passing attack to the option in one week. I know Ponyte could detail because he was in the team then. I am sure we had run some option in practice, but this was pretty much a full scale conversion with a true freshman QB in a hostile place. Of course Dickerson and James in the backfield did not hurt.

Don't forget Charles Waggoner. He was the best RB in that recruiting class.

Baptists are extremely hypocritical, that's why you always take two of them fishing with you...you take only 1 and he drinks all your beer. With that being said, Bennet is the only coach since the DP that had a lesser winning percentage than his predecessor...he was here for way to long.

Hmmm....I know I left that pile of rocks around here SOMEWHERE...

Baptists, Catholics, Disciples of Christ, (Insert Denomination here), are hypocrites. Newsflash, folks. It has more to do with human nature than denomination, or even lack thereof.

Sure glad I get to pastor a church of non-hypocrites...oh wait, it is a Baptist church! Guess we'll just have to put out the "Only hypocrites are Welcome" sign...

Exactly, we're all flawed-humans....so don't pretend like you're a saint and look down on others. Baptists are known for this and while it is a stereotype there is always truth behind the stereotype. From the Bliss scandal and now this....Baylor is morally bankrupt.

I want us to have a "Respect Women" day ahead of the game on Sept. 4th to rub their smug faces in the fact that their University truly is morally adrift.
