I am in Dallas on Labor Day weekend to be with family, and I just bought a ticket to see yall take on Baylor.

Quick Question, is there plenty of parking in the Dart Station area? Or does that fill up 2 hours before game time.

Thanks

Get there early and ide the bus over to Moody.
The hours before the game walking the Boulevard are fun and beautiful.

Bring a picnic and enjoy.

You'll have no problem parking at the Mockingbird DART stop. It is an easy 10-15 minute walk from there across to campus. If you don't come to tailgate on The Boulevard you are really, really missing out. Hope you can carve out at least two hours to enjoy the scenery.

Hope you have a great time. Feel free to PM me if you want to stop by our tent for a beer and good company.

The Mockingbird Station lot will likely be full at around 1hr prior to kickoff. As mentioned it is best to arrive early and enjoy The Boulevard in the heart of campus. Über will be running obviously but rates will likely be high.

You could take your chances trying to park on campus or at Mockingbird Station. I recommend taking the DART train from wherever you will be staying and get off at Mockingbird Station. You can walk over quickly and easily from the train station. The walk is 1/2 mile (which is the same from Dallas Hall).

I wish I could get there early, but I'm flying in that Friday afternoon.

Stallion, will there be enough parking at the Dart Station if I get there around 5:30pm?

Yeah shouldn't be a problem.

5:30 will be a little crowded but probably not totally full. There are a couple other lots nearby which are free and owned by SMI with shuttle service. Where are you staying? You can walk/park and ride DART rail ($2.50 one way) to Mockingbird from a lot of places. UberX may be the most convenient option if you are less than 10 miles away. Have fun and don't be shy.

What time will the Boulevard really get rocking on Friday? I'd like to get a look at campus like I did in 2005 before getting too much alcohol in my system. It was 10 years ago, but I remember being really impressed with everything SMU (other than the football team, that was one terrible game).

After 3 I'd say, but many will be set up and going around lunchtime I'll bet.

Also, the campus has completely changed in the last 10 years. Be sure to at least go and see if not tour the Bush Center and the new 'quads' on the east side of campus.

Wish we could play in basketball...

I know you will enjoy the evening/night portion of September 4, but I hope you enjoy the time before that as well.

As in both teams were terrible? You know that was probably the last time SMU was competitive. I think Baylor won that one by less than a touchdown.

Baylor 28, SMU 23.

5:30 and traffic on labor day weekend might be a beating. Be prepared for delays
