Sorry to start a uni thread if there is already something out there. Any news on this front?

Looks like they are the same as last year from all of the pictures. We haven't had any big unveiling either.

SMU is doing the "wear red Friday" thing again, so I imagine we will be in red next week. Boo.

Hard to believe a new regime wouldn't bring in some uniform changes. last year's uniforms were awful.

I know the equipment guys have a twitter account and I thought that's where we would start seeing some new things. I haven't seen anything there but it does seem odd that CM and company haven't addressed the uniforms. Maybe they have and it'll be a surprise.

Other than the two helmets that have been rumored all of the actual uniform pics have been the exact same.

I was really hoping Chad would finally take us back to blue since he talked about remembering SMU in the 80s.

I am guessing the Pony Express blues, with stripes back on pants.

True - the stripes being back makes a world of difference. Very thankful for that.

Just need the traditional Pony Express white shoes and it would be an exact match.

The AAC's new uni post today on Facebook included the blue patriotic pony helmet...no clue if they've confirmed that it'll be in the rotation though...

People don't like the unis?
They look great. About as traditional Pony Express as you can get there in those team photos.
Plus the red chrome/blue jersey/grey pants pseudo throwback to the 60s era look sharp as well.
And our road all whites always look good.

We also have some cool alternative unis.

I think (though I do not know) they will save uniform announcements until later in season. We may be in the need for some feel good news as we finish non-conference and that would be a good time for such an announcement.
