West with the big return and X. Jones with the touchdown and tough running. And it's just the 1st quarter.

Team is much quicker. Good job of the new staff plugging in new players and putting the old players in positions to maximize their skill.
Courtland Sutton will be an nfl receiver one day.

We have very little depth now because of poor recruiting but you give HCCM a few recruiting classes and that major problem will be solved.

Unfortunately Castille's biggest play was called back since he apparently stepped out of bounds

That was a real bummer. Nice job of Davis keeping is head up on that play, and it is rare to see a frosh WR work that hard to get open in the scramble drill.

How about the (probable) redshirts on the bench? Their energy and enthusiasm was infectious after years of the sideline being completely stale and lifeless.
Times, they are a-changin'.

I like how Coach Morris got the freshmen redshirt candidates involved by having them hold up the signs with the play calling signals on them.

McNeill looked huge on the sideline and his nerd glasses have to go.

I thought the glasses were great.
McNeil and whomever else was holding up the signs with the mustang on them were actually not signaling plays. They were blocking the camera/Baylor coaches in the press box from being able to see the two quarterbacks signaling in plays using hand signals (next two the two guys with signs with four pictures). Or I guess maybe they were making sure the guys on the field could quickly find the two guys signaling plays by just finding the big mustang signs.

Based on the last few years, It's nice to see any SMU receiver WORK to get open.

McNeil needs to live in the weight room and to stop looking like such a nice guy.
