At last someone got the uniform right! THAT is how we should look for most games: clean, elegant and classic. It reads well on TV and looks great at the stadium.

I have to say that I am really happy with the team. Despite years of questionable recruiting, our guys fought like heck and made a playoff contender very nervous. If we recruit halfway decently and continue to play with this heart, we'll be just fine.

Also, LOVE the "You'll have to kill us to beat us" attitude and slogan. That should be engraved somewhere and become the unofficial motto of our entire athletic department (if not school in general).

So in summation, don't touch the uniforms, keep the scrappy attitude, feeling really good about the team considering what we had to work with.

Good to have the plain vanilla uniform but nothing wrong with wearing an alternative uni very once and a while. While the old heads like the plain look (which is fine) the recruits like alternative unis too. Just have to strike a balance without ignoring either side.

Well, yes, change it up every now and then, but this should be our regular, classic look.

I am an old head, both of them, and I have no problem with an occasional alternative. But last night should be the standard.

That is a great, standard look to build upon.

I was hoping we would drop those thin helmet stripes of last yr & go to thicker ones like the pants or our 80s helmet. Wish the 'mustang' on the helmet was larger like in past too. But they're still better than past unis for sure.

But our classic look is definitely a 'classic' like no other team in the country!!! Classy & sharp.

Absolutely agree with the OP. We looked really really sharp on TV. Everyone I talked to who knew nothing about football really liked our uniforms over Baylor's and that big red pony in the middle of the field is great. We look good on TV. Once the play gets to the right level, we will be an easy sell and our brand should really grow.

those helmet stripes are just about identical to Pony Express days-I think Mustang may be smaller-the middle red stripe maybe a tad smaller now

Unis looked great in person and later when watching highlights at Barley post game.

I agree that our blue unis should be the standard, but I'm O.K. with mixing it up...especially if the kids like doing that

I was there last night until Varsity and watched the recorded game this morning. The uni's really pop and look super classy and timeless. We made the Bears uni's look like rubbish.

Uniforms were crisp and really popped on TV. Red mustang in the middle of the field is outstanding. Finally, we are back to what should be our roots.
