Almost a one man team. But were are fortunate to have X. Jones and the other freshman RB because they are good too. They hit the holes quick.

Unfortunately he can't throw like GG. Something's going on, either his receivers are not getting separation and/or he doesn't have faith in them or he doesn't really understand what to do with the ball pre-snap. X. Jones is the real deal. Love a back that hits the hole hard and then can break off one. He's going to be really good for us.

Need another receiver to step up.

we didn't get in control until Davis started running - so that was fine with me. Once they start keying on him there will be more open receivers.

Looked more like a Justin Willis impression.

They held Davis back in the first half - he didn't keep on the zone read a single time.

Don't forget about Sutton - he is great.

Lots of blown assignments on the OL the first two games. I think that will get resolved as we move forward in the season and they get more familiar with the blocking scheme.

Davis needs confidence in the line because even when he has time he is giving up on plays a little too early. I think one reason he is struggling in his reads because he is looking at the line. I have seen receivers get open and not get thrown to.

I've also seen several receivers run routes to the same area, which shouldn't be happening. So there are obviously some growth pains right now.

Watching X.Jones hit the hole that quickly reminds me of shanderrick.

Davis is doing a great or greater Ramon Flannigan impression :!:

Take it back to the 60s, and you see Mac White rolling out and throwing to the down and out
receiver, or running :!: :!: :!:

We won the game. He had excellent stats. 31-13 and PF always find a way to make it feel like a loss .... lol

Let's pump the brakes a little before we start comparing him to Ramon Flanigan

His inability to go through his progressions is astounding at times. It's has literally been 1. Is Sutton Open? 2. Eh [deleted] it, I'll run.

I think Colbert will do well when Davis gets hurt.

Rass Roll?

I LOVE Davis and don't want to see him put himself at unnecessary risk, especially non conference. I would not like to see him run much against TCU unless the game is literally on the line (go through your progressions, nothing open, throw it away).

Yep, but I'm an [deleted]. Shame on me.

From the last two post game interviews it sounds like Davis has a limited number of reads/progressions in the passing game. If option 1 isn't there and option 2 isn't there he is to take off. Does anyone know if that is actually the case? Is that how this offensive passing scheme works?
