Won by 8. And not sure that I agree about top 20. Cincy had 557 yards and Temple had 296.

AAC west is loaded this year...Navy, Tulsa, Memphis, SMU and Houston have looked great this year. Temple is the only team from the east that impressed me. Every one else in the east and Tulane suck.

Not sure you should include us and Tulsa in the upper tier. Memphis, Houston, and Temple are a cut above.

The American looks much better across the board so far than I think most expected.
Even in some of the losses we are hanging with top teams until things get out of hand (SMU vs. Baylor, USF vs. FSU, etc.)

Why did they give up so many yards to Cincy? Why did they only win by 8 despite Cincy throwing 4 INTs? Why did their offense not even hit the 300 yard mark?
They are good but not top 20 good.

while Montgomery hasn't shown much signs of life on the recruiting trail-you got to start taking notice that Tulsa broke 600 yards total offense in both of his first 2 games.

Temple comes in at #26. Win this weekend and they should be ranked. I wonder when the last time they were ranked, if ever? Houston is at #34.

Temple currently has the 5th longest drought since their last AP ranking, at 581 weeks (1979 final poll). SMU is 6th in that list, could move up to 5th if Temple breaks in.

AAC is starting to show some depth. We really need UCF to bounce back. Tulane looks dead in the water. Navy already looking like a great addition. Tulsa looks to be ahead of schedule in their rebuild also.

SMU needs to look respectable vs tCU and put 60 on JMU
