Interesting. I believe that Morris wanted Wooten at Clemson and SMU has already offered his brother... TCU is very deep at QB and competition for playing time will be fierce in FW.

probably our backup plan if for some reason David Moore doesn't sign with SMU. Don't really have room for more than 1 QB

Can't argue with what Stallion said. I hope David Moore is at SMU next fall. On the other hand we have a flipped TCU commit as a freshman this year in the person of walk on Garrett Stotts who was said to have elected to walk on TCU earlier.

Wooten had a good game last week - completed 83% of his pases and never mind it was against EP Franklin. IMO if Chad Morris was recruiting him for Clemson before he transferred from Marble Falls to Central it is a great observation about having a coach with Texas ties and who can identify talent early. If a 2017 TCU target is not doing ell this year I suspect they will make a bigger push for Brennen. Personally I hope we have both of them - Moore and Brennen - at SMU although that seems unlikely if both of them have good senior years.

My money is on Wooten (both Wooten's) ending up at SMU. If Moore bails, Brennen flips. Otherwise, I bet Brennen transfers when his bro comes to SMU and he gets stuck on the bench at TCU.

Good point about someday having a battery of Wooten and Wooten on the Hilltop. On the other hand it could go the other way, to Fort Worth or ???. A few days back the "free" screen on one rating service had Brennen as the #99 QB in Texas. I don't remember which one. FWIW Max Preps has him # 23 today and I'll leave it to others to estimate now his rank at the end of this season.
