We have the system just need more speed and athleticism at every position. I do like how hard our guys are playing.

Speed is dangerous. Slow and weak is the way to go!

It is definitely the safe way to go.

Give it time. TCU has been recruiting this level of talent and speed after a decade-worth of success. We're still a year removed from June Jones recruiting..

We will definitely see more speed each and every year going forward.

On the bright side, the offense is much better than I expected.
Secondary playing like last year's OL.

More speed, or some cover corners.

Don't know if you have seen CB Eric Sutton from Cedar Hill play but he's a lockdown corner that hits hard. Glad he is committed to SMU.

You think?
Yes, there's some in HCCM's first class (more than JJ ever recruited) and much more in his second class. It's coming, but it's an obvious need and I trust HCCM to go get it.

Takes much more than 100k/year, but yes we should make it happen

What I love is that we are still playing a lot of tight coverage even against the best teams. Testing our guys, giving them a chance to grow. And playing a lot of players.
I think our speed will be OK at receiver once Thomas gets going. He showed some signs tonight. Castillo will be more involved as the season goes along as well. Those guys just need some time to click, not think too much, and earn the trust of the QB.
Defensively, I think 29 has been solid, and 6 has been the best corner. I think H Richardson has ok speed, but he and all of the other corners don't have any hips at all, they can't turn and run. You can see on the slant, the WR will cut it sharp and 9 and the others really have to round it off and there is huge separation. Wyatt took a poor angle on their first TD.
So, I think in the secondary what we are going to see the rest of the year is that the speed is kind of okay, not spectacular, but they really don't have the athleticism to succeed in these coverage schemes against upper tear athletes. I won't be surprised to see the secondary actually play decent outside of Houston and Tulsa, just like they did against UNT.

Add rugby, field hockey, or lax then. Now is it a money issue?
