It is nice to see that catch getting the media coverage it deserves.

Wow, first I have seen it up close. Kind of like Odelle Beckman vs against Cowboys. That showing was like Randy Moss, just toss it up and he will fight to get it.

Was surprised I didn't see anything on ESPN about it. Most national coverage is all about Boykin (rightfully so). Oh, well, Audie was watching and liked it. Baby steps. But Sutton is the real deal for sure. And he will only get better as he refines his game, route running, conditioning, etc. He was killing the TCU secondary all night. If he wasn't catching it (some poorly thrown balls), he was getting mauled because they couldn't do anything except maul him from catching it. Davis needs to get more accurate on the long ball to him, though. The kid could have had 200 yards receiving against the #3 ranked team in country. Not complaining.

I think Davis threw the long ball much better last night than against NTSU. I was a little worried about that aspect before last night, but he will be just fine.
And I think if an injury were to occur ( hopefully not) that Colbert will be a most capable backup. Progress is happening at a good pace.
Have we exceeded last years scoring yet?

Sutton, is a man-child and will play on Sunday if he maximizes his development under HCCM and staff.

If he stays healthy and out of trouble he will be picked in the first round or two of the draft. Hopefully he stays another year and with a returning qb and another year of recruiting leads the Mustangs to a major bowl, conference championship and the Heismann. Better sign Chad to a longterm deal and give him whatever he wants and he will have SMU at TCU's level in a short period of time and maybe in the Big 12 with a jam-packed stadium and high tv ratings. this is what we thought we were going to get with June.

If Sutton doesn't get hurt he's going to be a first round draft choice multi millionaire.
His body reminds me of Brandon Marshall the only difference is Sutton is a freshman that can catch - and punk corners making them look like little girls - you absolutely have to love this kid.
Is going to be a household name shortly.
Definitely one of the best football players SMU has had in 8 years

Got the impression listening to Chad that Sutton has not yet bought into doing what he needs to be doing when not being thrown to. He is still very raw, but I am so glad to have one of these receivers on our team for a change.

I think its more about consistency and attention to detail than "buy in".

This conversation reminds me of how we reacted to Shanderrick Charles' first few games. Shame that Shanderrick got injured.
