In 2013, Oregon St. lost their opener to EWU

In 2013, Oregon State lost their opener, at home, 49-46 to Eastern Washington.
They won their next six games, including wins over Utah, Cal, Washington St.
and Colorado.

They finished the year 7-6 with a 38-23 win over Boise State in the Hawaii Bowl.

Gary Patterson lost one of his first games to Northwestern Louisiana.

You have a valid point. I'm simply saying that losing to a FCS opponent isn't the end of the world.
And James Madison's win confirms what many of us already know, that the best teams in the FCS are better than many of the teams in the FBS. And I, for one, would not be surprised if James Madison won the FCS championship.

It's definitely not the end of the world but do you really see any scenario in which we rebound from this to make a bowl like Oregon State did?

Hmmmm, can I get back to you after the East Carolina game? Actually, until our defence can stop somebody, I don't know who we can beat.

Our only win came against a team with a cadaver at QB, only USF and Tulane have QBs even close to being that bad.
