Just have to be patient and recruit, recruit, recruit

The team played hard but we just got beat by a better team. Coach Morris will eventually catch them. As I said I believe we are about 3 recruiting classes away from challenging for a conference championship.

Patience is key.

We don't need to fire this person or that person after 5 freakin games.

We need JUCO help. Our linebackers look like safeties.

Hard to get JUCo's at SMU because a lot of their credits fo not transfer here like they do schools like ECU and Boise. Also, the new NCAA rules regarding JUCO players male it tough as well. We need some athletic DE's that can really put pressure on the QB. But we need help in a lot of areas.

Right, that is why I am not making any predictions this year regarding our season record.

The cupboard is bare on defense and we aren't going to go recruit a bunch of JUCOs. This is a total rebuild-and the players that can start to turn it around are in high school. There maybe a few guys we can build with on defense that are being redshirted but not enough. That's the straight shooting story. 3+ years away on defense-maybe we can outscore some teams like Baylor did. Early playing time is available

Definitely a rebuild not situation not a reload. We have some pretty athletic O lineman coming next year that hopefully get to redshirt.

Offensive rebuild is gonna be fine-we are way ahead of schedule there. I really like our Offensive Line recruits and don't forget Corey Rau at U-Back.

I got off work in time to catch some of the fourth quarter in the stadium. Walked out into the stadium and the first thing I see is the ECU o-line towering over our D-line. The watched their QB scramble around our D. They are bigger, faster, stronger than we are and it showed just standing next to one another.

I'm not sure why anyone expected that to change. It's the same thing we've seen every week outside of maybe NTSU.

Would've loved a win today but it just isn't realistic right now. ECU should've started that 2nd QB all night. That other guy didn't have a clue what he was doing it felt like.

Our guys were a great deal taller than JMU's.

Yeah, you're right, we all saw it last year.

Just backing up the OP.

I agree. I just would like to see them redshirt and get a year of maturity in the program. But that may not be possible.

And 2 of their starting O linemen did not play due to injuries.
