The offense was almost shut out again only scoring 7 point s int he second half. Turnovers did not help.

Take away 2 B West fumbles and we have a game

No. This game was over in the first half with the 3 turnovers. 3 missed opportunities to score, 14 pts for houston + momentum. SMU should have been up 35-14 with momentum going into 2nd half.

The turnover right before the half was a gut punch.
Young teams don't know how to respond to adversity. You turn the ball over and when you're 1-11 you expect the worst. Some of these kids have been on campus and in 18 games they've won 2. That and a coaching staff that is still trying to figure things out in the second half and you've got a recipe for disaster.
Honestly, the final score is about what I expected.

No. Take away those turnovers and we get to the 2nd half tied or maybe up. We then have to play the second half...which we have yet to do. No turnovers would just have delayed the inevitable. Until we keep it close with a chance to win against a team that isn't TCU or in FCS, I won't agree that games are close. TCU is our biggest rival, and the team somehow played like they are supposed to that night. Hope to see more than just glimpses of that sometime in our remaining games.

The score was 28-21 Houston at the half. The is only a 7 point lead but the offense just did not score much in the second half. Houston had like 5 sacks in the game

We get blown out every second half. It stops being a game as soon as we don't go up by +2 TDs at half.

Davis had no time.
But I don't think anyone gave up.

No - NTSU and TCU but don't let facts get in the way.

He did not have much time but I am sure someone will post their observations or thoughts on the game and say that the O line is talented etc and give some excuses.

we also made what could have been a game winning comeback against JMU if not for defensive collapse. Its the last 2 weeks that really has been some quit

You are so very right. We've been out-scored in the second half in 4 of 6 games, 3 of those 4 by more than 14. Another by 8, 14-3 in the 4th. My statement is WAY off base.

You said "We get blown out every second half". That is wrong: we out scored UNT 24 -3 in the second half, we tied with JMU in the second half, and out scored TCU 17-14 in the 3rd quarter before being blown out in the 4th quarter. So no we haven't been "blown out every second half this year". But thanks for the effort.

Fumble at the end of the 2nd quarter was not the defenses fault. Not being able to hold UH to at least a FG with less than a minute on he clock and 55 yards to go completely is though.
