Schools are the one place everyone knows guns are not allowed. If you want to shoot people without being shot back at, go to a school

But they are allowed now on college campuses in the Great State Of Texas(tm).

There have been so many armed robberies in student parking lots at UH it isn't funny. Criminals are slipping into the dorms as well.

UH campus is a combat zone.

There is not a racist word in that quote Cargo. Apparently you have some blatant racism within yourself.

Ah so the facts are bigoted, eh?

Noticed that you didn't attempt to refute anything I said, just made a personal attack. You lose.

Seems I've touched a nerve

Yet you guys can't outrecruit or outdraw us. There's a reason why SMU can't connect with Dallas and the bigotry displayed in this thread is a factor. SMU racism towards UH is nothing new unfortunately.

What in the hell does this have to do with the crime problems facing the UH campus community?

Why address the problem when you can just call everyone that brings it up a racist?

I couldn't care less about SMU, Houston, or your rivalry other than whether each school is a suitable place to attend for any of the kids that I work with. I regularly speak with recruits and their parents about the recruiting process and what things to look for (and to put it bluntly, things black families need to look out for) during the recruiting phase.

Im not from Texas but since I've been here I've heard a lot of things posted throughout the past week whether it be the crime around Houston or the perceived racism/classism from SMU. However, there are some things that you either have to experience in person to understand. Then on the flip side you have people that are more honest in their opinions online.

I've been to the Houston campus twice in the past few years and it didn't live up to the "danger" hype if you will. Ive also been to the SMU campus many more times and didn't get the racism vibes.

I say all of that to say that this week was the first time I read both team boards (this and coogfans fwiw) and I'm kind of stunned at what I've read here. I've personally vouched for SMU to many families and now I'm questioning myself and wondering if I've been making mistakes. I've read way too many coded insults and even a few blatantly racist posts over this past week on this board. There was one thread that pretty much only said "F the [deleted]" and not only was it left up for hours but not one person that posted afterwards seemed to have a problem with it.

I have taken more screenshots than I can count as proof. While I'm unsure as to whether I will officially contact the SMU athletic department about the poor reflection this website is making on the university I will absolutely speak with a couple of the coaches on your staff when I see them again. More importantly I want to thank some of you for opening my eyes and consequently the eyes of the recruits/parents that I show this to.

Anyone that judges SMU based on what gets posted on this board is too stupid to be alive.

Congrats, you've found a way to be offended by one of the most censored, heavily sanitized message boards in existence
