Including three SWC championships, a Cotton Bowl victory, and a win over Notre Dame.

And anyone who says it's because we cheated is a knucklehead.

As I use to say, 'Eric could have driven that Trans-Am anywhere, he chose SMU'

and that's the way it was most of the time, the bluest of the blue chips who stayed in Texas decided between SMU, UT & the Aggies, the 3* premiere schools in this state.

Rice is too premier

That record is doable once more, especially in the American.

Georgia and its .850 win percentage over that span says hi.

12-0
10-2
11-1
10-1-1
07-4-1
------
50-8-2

SMU's record is nothing to be ashamed of though.

While we are playing the game...BYU and Nebraska would like to say hi to Georgia (and SMU).

BYU was .873 with 55-8-0
Nebraska was .865 with 53-9-0

Looks like we are both losers. But 3rd and 4th best are nothing to be ashamed of though.

Fair enough - Georgia was the first one that came to mind, wasn't necessarily saying Georgia was first, just better than SMU.

SMU's wins are against better competition.
