Out of the 8 responses (6 twitter & 2 comments), 2 specifically mention attendance (only 30,000) as a reason to exclude. Can only imagine the ridicule for SMU's 10-15K.

I just can't see the TX schools adding another in-state school. We may have earned it on the field but TCU was obviously very fortunate with the timing.

No one left (besides ND) moves the needle in terms of TV dollars, so why would B12 add anyone and have to split the TV revenue more ways? I think Texas would rather take their ball and go to the Pac-12 rather than play in the same conference with the likes of Memphis or Cincinnati.

Oh, gee, look at that. A restaurant owner in Houston wants UH in a major conference. That wouldn't have anything to do with bringing Okie and Okie State fans in by the tens of thousands to his business, would it?
