Is there any reason not to wonder if Colbert might be a good option at this point?

Davis is our guy. Colbert was playing against prevent D.

Yeah, but at least he forced some to Sutton.

I don't understand why we don't do that 10 times a game.

"Our guy" ain't getting it "did" and all options to create growth must be enabled.

Couldn't hurt, Davis just doesn't act like a QB and there isn't much time left for him to figure it out.

and Davis played his worst game of the year to date; granted he is playing with a weak OL and receivers who don't get separation and don't run to the ball when our QB is running for his life. I'm trying to remember we have to be patient

Sadly, Davis equals low FB IQ, coupled with the O line from Hades - not a good situation.

Because Stallion swears he's only an athlete/DB/WR, definitely not a D1 QB.

I'd love to see him at slot receiver..that'd be an awesome weapon for Colbert to throw to!

Yeah Colbert was playing garbage time but like someone mentioned above guy#1 isnt cutting it at all. He's an athlete playing qb, not a qb. I understand he doesn't have a lot to work with but every game he makes bad reads, doesn't have a good get rid of it clock, etc

Remember when footballdad aka footballdouche said Colbert was terrible and Severt was the second coming of Garrett Gilbert?

For the record, Davis the best QB on the roster

Well, guess we can count this as an indictment of another complete position on this team.

Honestly, the one thing a QB must possess is poise. You can be fast or slow...big or small...smart and happy or slow and angry...but you have to have poise. Happy feet and unsteady nerves equal crap QB. Well...diagnosis is, we are screwed.

Correction East Coast Mustang aka SMU Buckfifty Fratboy.

I said Herman Cain is an idiot. Stallion says Colbert is not a D1 QB. I say Davis is the best we've got currently, and David Moore is hopefully the future. If Morris decides Colbert gives us the best chance to win right now, so be it, sit Davis down, no problem.

You're obsession is getting a little creepy.

Thoughts on Ben Hicks? Do you think he has potential to be the guy? (If not this year, then the future. No use in burning his redshirt now)

neither Davis or Colbert are a quality Division 1A QB. Davis has played decent this year but there is simply no doubt he's been outplayed by the opposing QB in 6 out of 7 SMU games this year

It doesn't matter who you put back there. This team and offensive line has limited talent. Expect to lose this season and next season. When we have at least 2 Morris classes on the field things will change.
