Expectations for Tulsa game

Ok, for the record, the Mustangs fulfilled one from last week...we scored as many in the first half as we did in the second half...maybe I should be a bit more specific... so:

-come out on the first offensive series of each half and score a touchdown...
-come out on each series of each half and score...
-commit no turnovers of any kind during any series of either half for the entire game....
-create enough defensive pressure to create at least 3 (three) turnovers...
-win (have more points at the end of regulation than Tulsa)...

I hope I covered it this time...

Just looking for improvement. Defense played the well last week limiting USF to less than 400 yards. One swing at a time.

There has been criticisms about our players and their 'losing' mentality.

We are about a FG underdog to Tulsa, same as Texas Tech is to Ok State this weekend in Lubbock.

I wonder if the Tech fans have the same 'we're going to lose this week' mentality that too many of our fans do.

My expectations this week....A WIN.

Offense move the ball and score
Defense hold TU under 500 yds.

Didn't they score 40-50 vs OU?

Tackle the QB, tackle someone, tackle anyone. Tackle everyone.

A guy named Mitchell (No.11) seemed to get the message last week - he had several
great tackles.

I don't care if we tackle anyone else as long as we tackle the QB. Oh and a win would be nice.

Gonna make sure my proxies (wife/kids) are in my seats this week since I am out of town on business. Have filled my seats and several others for every game this year and not gonna stop. #Lockarms

Agree on defense needing to tackle; take the right angles on guys. Too many players (on defense and special teams coverage) appear to have a guy in their sights and then for some inexplicable reason just blow right by them and try to reach back and make an arm tackle. I want to see that improve.

I want to see Matt make quicker decisions with the ball. He's been over-thinking things too much the past couple games and needs to get out of his head. Blockers need to hit their assignments and WR's need to come back to the ball.

And oh yeah, just WIN baby!

Some of them do since their defense is terrible but they'll still have 60K in the stands whereas we'll have 5K.

I want us to win every game. And we should. But my expectations this game is a blowout. They have a great offense. I hope our offense gets back on track and can put up 40+. What I'm hoping for. I have no faith in our defense keeping them under 50.

They don't have to go against a running QB in this game. Regardless of if they win or lose they just need to play hard and don't quit like they have been doing.

I think this is a winnable game for SMU, Tulsa hasn't looked the same since their #2 receiver went out in the UH game. I watched them play ECU and Memphis and they are very similar to you guys in terms of Offensive and defensive talent and coaching. I have to admit I'm rooting for SMU because I am not a fan of Montgomery for the way he left UH. When Briles left, Montgomery stayed on to coach the bowl until he was fired a week or two later when it was discovered we was recruiting for Baylor while still on the UH payroll. If that hadn't happened I probably wouldn't have cared about the Baylor coach on Tulsa sideline at the OU game, but then that incident was just fuel on the fire for me.

Forgot about him. Don't think he plays that much.
