Such a great coach, I was talking with my wife the other day. She made a really good point that it isn't his job to have to go around campus to get everyone energized for the game, but God bless him that he does. I really wish he would get more support from the athletic office. If it's budget issues, I get it, but I feel from what I heard there are some people not really doing anything in the PR department but again just random word-of-mouth. I really do hope we build an IPF for this guy, he deserves it.

Please do expound on this. What pushback or non-action are you hearing about. Would be interesting to hear, because it is difficult to judge overall buy-in at all levels of admin and the school when you aren't living near school or the state.

His company car is a golf cart and the admin makes him shuttle students around between practices.

Public relations isn’t just publicity and event planning anymore.

According to top employers interviewed by SMU Meadows’ Division of Communication Studies, today’s public relations professionals must also be competent in media relations, advertising, journalism, strategic planning, fostering relationships and more.

To answer this call, SMU Meadows has combined the best of its three outstanding Journalism, Communication Studies and Advertising divisions and launched a new Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Strategic Communications.

Again just gossip overheard from someone who worked in the athletic office, and our PR group like consist of 4 kids who were just goofing around on their laptops not really putting any thought into how to market the team and get the word out. Sure we had the #BeatTCU but other than that, I feel like NTCC does a better job. I definitely dont want to give the perception that they arent helping HCCM personally but rather its just been this way. Plus from my experience of how literally every merchant will carry every school (including NTCC which we all know nobody cares about) but they tell us our licensing agreement is too strict. We should make our licensing as easy and cheap as possible to get more SMU stuff out there versus the few store within 5 miles around SMU....

he's begging for us to support the program during the hard times. I've seen some 2017 recruits reportedly attending this week's game-a bunch of high school games in DFW were moved to Thursday Nite. Don't handicap the man in recruiting. Come and support the program. If you've appreciative of his hard work-NOW-is the time to show it. A poor turnout will in fact turn great recruits against the program before he has a chance

"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

Pretty basic. If you live in DFW or are somewhat close, get to the games.

I drive down from Arkansas. It cost me a minimum of $300 a weekend. I cannot see why Dallas fans can't get there.
