DMN: SMU Opens 2016 Season in Denton

in a report about NTSU's finalized 2016 schedule they have us playing in Denton on September 3

You know if we've got to play them this is probably the best week to play them because we should be able to get 3,000 SMU fans to travel 40 minutes away from North Dallas to see an opener-you'd think that anyway. It will be interesting to see the SMU attendance for this one

I think our team may be better prepared to play a NTSU in the opener too. Let's face it-too many SMU fans think its below the dignity and level of SMU to stoop to play NTSU anyway. I think that may permeate through to our players since I've personally witnessed some of the worst performances in SMU history in Denton. Maybe they will get up for an opener when they might not for NTSU
