Temple & Memphis

Curious how many players on both of these teams had P5 offers. Can't imagine Temple has much more than us

On ESPN's Recruiting Nation, they did a segment this week on the Owls and how they have to cast a wide net in recruiting. They sometimes offer kids with no stars or other offers and work to build them into players. Apparently the coaching staff calls themselves "Diamond Miners".

I looked at their 2014 and 2015 classes and they have several 3 star and 3 four star players, so they are not quite full time diamond miners.

I think the announcers see them as DITR if they were a top P5 school, not what most G5 schools consider DITR. Their coaches have gotten serious recruits. Surprisingly the 2016 class only 12 players with a total of two 3*s. If Rhule stays, it will be interesting to see how their 2016 class fills up.
Also note Temple went 2-10 in Rhule's first year.
