SMU scored on its opening drive for the 5th time in 8 games (Courtland Sutton 5-yard pass from Matt Davis at 11:22 1st Quarter)

Zach Wood had a blocked PAT, the second straight week SMU blocked a kick (Justin Lawler blocked a FG at USF 10/24).

Courtland Sutton was 8-165 receiving, most yards by an SMU receiver since 10-209 by Keenan Holman vs. Temple 10/26/13

SMU had a season-high 4 passing TDs (3 by Matt Davis, 1 by Xavier Jones)

R.C. Cox (#32, LB) – Career-high 9 tackles (led team), including his first career sack

Matt Davis (#4, QB)
- Was 19-39-236 passing with 3 TDs (1 INT) and 9-7 rushing
- Tied career high with 3 passing TDs
- Now has 21 total TDs (14 pass/7 rush), which is T-8th in a season at SMU
- 2232 yards of total offense this season, which is 13th at SMU

Jeremiah Gaines (#23, TE) - 2-19 receiving with 1 TD, his 3rd TD of the season

Xavier Jones (#10, RB) - Had a 39 yard TD pass to Xavier Castille, his 2nd TD pass of the season (both to Castille); also 8-29 rushing & 4-20 receiving

- Now has 1298 career kickoff return yards, which moves him into 5th at SMU (passes Rodnick Phillips, 1220 from 1996-99)
- Now has 62 career kickoff returns, which is 5th at SMU

- 8-165 receiving with 2 TDs; career highs in receptions and yards, ties for career-high in TDs
