Top 4 teams in our league have definitely earned some respect. Even though Houston, Memphis, Navy & Temple may beat each other up in coming weeks, AAC is looking good for a New Year's game and the future potential for this conference looks pretty good.

Would be great to end the season with 3+ teams ranked so teams can start next year ranked and have at least a shot at the playoffs.

Cleve Hardman:
The latest AP college football poll should serve as proof that the American Athletic Conference can stand up with the rest of them. Only the Big Ten has more schools in the Top 25 as the American. The SEC and Big XII match the American with four ranked schools. The ACC and Pac 12 lag behind with three each.

If the AAC and Navy have sustained success next year, I wonder if Air Force would reconsider joining, or if BYU gets rejected by the Big 12 will they change their tune.

If our next TV deal is bigger than BYUs, then yes, if not, there's no reason for them to.

You guys aren't very good at the strategy thing. Power 5 is not gonna let another conference get a seat at the buffet table. If our conference starts consistently winning, they'll just pluck the best team or 2 and knock our [deleted] right back down......

Glad someone said it. Always easier to face the facts.
