Is VT a better job than UNC?

The only upside I see to leaving UNC is avoiding NCAA sanctions.

Sonny was on our short list and wants out of Cal. I bet they would pay him to leave

Rich Rod? Exactly what did he do at either Michigan or Arizona? He has a few splash upsets here and there, and finishes middle of the pack. 6-6 again this year, and just got beat 52-37 yesterday in their rivalry game.

Stupid to even have him on the list.

If Morris left now, he would totally screw over the defensive staff (and some of his offensive staff).

Given the 40+ ppg we have been giving up, there is no way a P5 program would want trust their defense to an inexperienced staff. Frankly, Morris shouldn't want to trust a P5 defense to Malone & Co ("Team Malone").

Btw - I am not suggesting Team Malone can't coach. With the talent issues they faced, the regression on defense was understandable. But, there is no proof that they are ready for a higher level program.
