Doesn't have to recruit. Can golf. Great weather. Still coach. Sounds like a good gig for him.

But he has to visit a high school to get to work. Not proven he can do that yet.

Are you freaking kidding me? The only gig this clown can manage is a HS OC role? Thank God for Chad Morris.

Nothing wrong with returning to the HS level if you've rested up and
really want to coach some football.

I remember Emory Bellard inventor of that ultra modern wishbone
offense. Head coach at Texas A&M University from 1972 to 1978 and
at Mississippi State University from 1979 until 1985.

In 1988, Bellard returned to the high school level, coaching
Spring Westfield High School near Houston, Texas, to a 41–22–5
record over six seasons. I saw him beat my HS Longview in a
playoff game in the early 90s.

Thanks JJ for improving SMU football to reach 4 bowl games, helping
get us into the AAC, and encouraging LB to come to SMU. Sorry you
got tired and frustrated with the BS and tried to bail out to AZ:!:

You probably think Bernie Madoff was a good guy too, don't you?

It would be really funny if he had to substitute teach classes

How many years will it take for the common high schooler to grasp the run and shoot?

This is so embarrassing for the big backers who were defending him so late in his term with us, when everyone knew but for about 5 people. Such overwhelming proof that they were blinded just by the fact that they were friends with him.

Its funny how when people have an insider position, even if it is on the Titanic, they wouldn't change boats until it is totally under the water.

Honestly, some of you need to get over the JJ hate. Why slam the guy for wanting to work and stay involved with the game he obviously enjoys. After the way his stint at SMU ended, he was going to have a hard time finding a head coaching job at the college level, so I give him credit for checking his ego at the door and taking this kind of job. He gets to live where he wants to, the hours are better, not as much pressure not being the Head Coach and at his age, it is nice to have health insurance (presumably subsidized by his employer) and I assume he has a pretty nice nest egg from all the high pay/demanding jobs he's had during his career. Time to move on.
