All 25 members of #StangGang16 come from the great state of Texas.

The fact that Ken McLaurin wasn't upgraded to 3 stars by Rivals shows what a joke that rating service has become. I understand why he might get a 2 star preseason but he was a stud his Senior Year. He is the best DT SMU has signed since Death Penalty. The entire state of Texas and every school that recruits Texas is being short changed by Rivals. I would rate McLaurin as a high 3 star-Gabe Brooks at Scout sees the same thing naming McLaurin as one of the 8 most underrated prospects nationally

Have to say that there is a bit more optimism in my soul today...new and excited prospects taking their next step toward the dream.

August sure seems a long time away...

listen to what Morris says about these guys on defense-he ain't screwing around any more with some of the dead-enders we got on defense. He's expecting all the defensive lineman to play early.

Give him some SMU followers.

To your point, he had 4 P5 offers, 3 star prospect on Scout, 73 on ESPN which is usually P5 prospect, and a 3 star on both the 247 composite and 247 rank. Rivals was the only service that did not grant him a 3 star. He is one of many recruits that rivals was the only non-believer on.

What is awesome is that if you look at Badejo, he is an even higher rated recruit. 3 on rivals, a little lower position ranking on scout, but higher on ESPN and 247. and more P5 offers. We really improved on the DL.

So do we have room for Clifton Lewis or not?
