I saw on twitter that former RB/WR Johnnie Freeman coaches Runningbacks in Crosby, and there are Two Runningbacks from Crosby with SMU offers! One of them is a 2018 5-star Runningback Craig Williams!!! Thats pretty cool..

Ramon Flanagan is QB Coach at Lamar.
Better question: why doesn't SMU have any football alums on the coaching staff to help with recruiting?

I bet getting a college job would be tough, prolly have to know someone. I looked up Criag Williams HUDL account, this kid is good! He has an offer from SMU and is coached by Freeman.

Until we opened up the teaching school, SMU's academic program really didn't make it easy for a player to get a teaching certificate. Since Texas HS coaches need a teaching certificate, a lot of a HS coaches are from schools like UNT, SFA, etc.
When SMU's former OC Johnny Ringo was the Head Coach at Plano East, one of his coaches was a former SMU QB.

Don't remember that. I believe Cavan hired him as a receivers coach. Mistakenly hung on for the Bennett debut.
