Haven't had time to digest everything, but a couple of things jump out:

• Cedric Lancaster and Deion Sanders, each of whom played some CB and WR last year, are listed as WRs.

• WR Myron Gailliard has changed his number from 15 to 22.

• Gailliard's old number, is now being worn by WR Alex Honey, who wore 88 last year as a redshirt.

• Freshman RB Aphonso Thomas will wear No. 25.

• Keyfer Roberts, who has played OL, TE and DL since arriving at SMU, is listed as a TE.

• New DB: Brent Freeman, a 5-10, 193-pound sophomore who transferred from North Central College.

• New P: Davis Luster, a 6-2, 191-pound redshirt freshman from Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, Tenn.

• New LB: Andrew Adams, a 6-0, 223-pound true freshman from Little Rock Central High School in Little Rock, Ark.

• There has been speculation about redshirt freshmen Delontae Scott and Michael Scott, whether they will play LB or DE. They're both listed as DEs.

• After a stint at TE, Tony Richards (now listed at 6-5, 251) is listed as an OL.

• LB Carlos Carroll has changed his number from 40 to 55.

• New OL: Rex Printz (6-3, 315) a junior transfer from Marble Falls, Texas.

• New WR: Christian Biedenharn, (6-0, 188) a transfer from Sewanee.

• New WR: Austin Rolfe (6-0, 189) true freshman from Nashville, Tenn.

Printz played at Trinity Valley I think

So we have over 20 receivers on our roster now? Or so it seems. Why is this?

Tradition!!

Seriously, it is the new normal with modern college offenses. Simply put, a team that runs the type of offense we do needs more WRs than you think - even if it is just 4 practice.

I didn't bother to count, but they must have close to 30 WRs.

It's all about "athletes" now. The best will stay at receiver, others will get moved.

yeah I actually brought Printz up about a month ago because he announced that he would be attending SMU on twitter-never really determined if he was a walkon or scholarship guy.
