Mustang Club donor numbers

This is the most interesting chart I have seen out of the athletic department.
I added up the number of donors from last year - 2,723 active MC donors from 2015-16.
It's amazing we have what we have with that kind of donor base. Bigger than the 1,500, but still very small.

I've been pointing this out for years. People assert that we have 20,000 fans buying tickets-or 10,000 people buying season tickets when in reality we have around 3,000-4000 actual season ticket BUYERS (purchasing multiple season tickets each) some of which probably aren't even SMU alumni. The actual number of SMU alumni buying season tickets is extremely poor

For about 23 of the last 30 years the football program and the administration have been a complete embarrassment and alienated all but the diehards. The fact that we have nealry 3,000 MC members is astounding given how little success we've had.

It's closer to 4000. One thing that's going well is the Mob cost includes Mustang club membership. Grass roots

The question is will it change?

I was surprised to find out that my priority rank is in the low 300's and I have been out of school 5 years (I know donation rank trumps priority). Granted my wife and I budget aggresively for MC as we are die hards and go to every game.

Probably best to delete and bury this thread deep from public (P5) consumption.

Because clearly the link that was posted above isn't publicly available? I'm fairly certain than any conference (including those of which have no interest in us) can research further than deleted threads on fan sites.

My only real opinion here is that I hope you have given beyond the full (or partial) scholarship opportunity afforded

Grrrrrr (because clearly my comment was not tongue in cheek).

How about some facts instead of opinion. The fact is, you should probably focus on the real problem, and get some of your slacker alumni friends to get on board.

Just my 'opinion'.

In a strange way its reassuring to know that the inmates are still running the asylum here on ponyfans. Some things will never change.
