Both played for SMU and made it to the WWE Hall of Fame, shouldn't SMU have honored them in some way by now?

Fountain or statue? We're behind on statues. Two behind TCU. We need to shift our focus. Of course we do have a bunch of stupid personalized bricks (very high school) on a freakin' "promenade".

We could have someone body slammed on the court at half time of a BB game in their honor.

Let's have Mark Emmert get hit by a HJD 2x4 and then get a Von Erich Iron Claw at the end. Works for me.

I had a chance to meet Fritz on one occasion after a match in Dallas. Great guy and interesting spirit. At that time his career was at the end and he had drastically cut back his travel and schedule. The one thing I took away from that meeting was that he mentioned breaking over 200 bones in his career. Virtually every bone in both hands had been broken multiple times coupled with foot bones and collar bones and periodically an arm broken. He dealt with things rather simply indicating that he s wrestled through most of the breaks and dealt with the pain as necessary. Great showman.

Build the IPF as a replica of the Sportatorium, with their two statues outside.

The Sportatorium sign on the IPF would be awesome.

Was Waldo a brother, other relative and/or just a staged brother?

How about a Hacksaw statue by the tennis center - former location of the 7-11 that Hacksaw allegedly held up at one point (I heard this story from one of his teammates).

Really?

I remember him as Jim Duggan-son of a policeman, team captain and I thought he had something like a 3.95 GPA. He looked nothing like his character at SMU. Straight short hair with horn-rim glasses

Pro wrestling is just acting (and bad acting at that) so maybe we should put up two statues at meadows?

Got to meet Fritz at The Sportatorium in 1971. Raleigh Blakley, who played SMU football with "Von Erich"; his son, Bruce, graduated from Richarson H.S.,with about 4 other high school buddies that were freshman on the second floor of Morrison Hall. We piled into sophomore adviser, Joe Dilg's (he's out of Grapevine, and became Mgr. Part. at Vinson & Elkins), 1970 Buick GS 455 Stage 1; buzzed downtown to see him wrestle. Before his match we were in his dressing room where he showed us his razor blade; which he would hide on himself to cut his forehead and other parts of his body; which was predetermined. Great show with the little o'le ladies who carried, and banged on the edge of the raised wrestling mat, with their umbrellas.

I got slapped on the court at halftime of a BB game once. But that's a different story.

They were not related. They initially worked together as a tag team and kept the name after Jack stopped traveling to the East Coast after the death of his son, Jackie.
