Arkansas has named Austin Allen as their starting QB. That means Rafe Peavy and Ty Storey, both 4 star QBs may be looking for a new home. At least one of them is sure to leave since Arkansas also has Ricky Towns who transferred to them from USC.
I think Peavy could fit Coach Morris's scheme very well.

While it might be nice, I would kill for for transfer defenders or OL first.

We could do both. But if you do not have a QB the ball just bounces around when the center snaps it.

"Pat, I don't understand why they keep lining up with no one behind the center. This strategy has not seemed to pay off so far in this game."

I would argue that our biggest need are LBs (and CBs -- pretty much ANY defensive studs) and that "QB of the future" in 2017. Anything else would be gravy.

Any D1 transfer would have to sit a year.

Exactly. We need QB's, but we desperately need defensive playmakers.

So it's safe to say you don't think Hicks is the "QB of the future" ?

I'll be interested to see if The staff is active in the qb transfer market. They seem to be working on some big names this class and I'm guessing a selling point they're using is the potential for playing time early since we missed on qb Last year.
