Re: Texas LB Dalton Santos to Graduate Transfer
If he is healthy, he is a pretty good player. Even if injuries limited his PT to part time status, our LB Corp could use an experienced player to give the youngsters time to grow into the job. Do unto others before they do unto you!!
Re: Texas LB Dalton Santos to Graduate TransferDone deal next week
Re: Texas LB Dalton Santos to Graduate TransferWould he be better than nwosu?
Re: Texas LB Dalton Santos to Graduate TransferNo thanks. No need to get someone from the dumpster fire that is charlie weak's program.
Re: Texas LB Dalton Santos to Graduate TransferOf course we could use him - You'd have to be football illiterate to think otherwise.
Re: Texas LB Dalton Santos to Graduate TransferHe would walk in here and start. Would love to have him so that we can allow guys like Matt McNew and Noah Spears to be brought along at the right pace.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Texas LB Dalton Santos to Graduate Transfer
You know, interesting point. That guy was a stud in the 4-2-5, and came in and really, really struggled in the 3-4. Switching from the 3-4 to the 4-2-5 may have been equally as difficult and a more difficult challenge for our players than any of us realize.
Re: Texas LB Dalton Santos to Graduate Transfer
Cleveland had a top pick in the NFL draft because they are a complete mess. Nevertheless, they have (had) a few very good players that other NFL teams targeted during free agency. Joe Thomas was in high demand from other teams. Playing a bunch of 19-20 year old defenders against offenses stacked with upperclassmen rarely ends well. McNew had 11 tackles in 8 games last year. Despite our horrific defense, he was unable to "take" a job from anyone. K Mitchell, our eturning LB with the most tackles in 2015 - 40. Santos was hitting machine until he got injured and missed 2015. Best of all, he has a nasty streak that our defense desperately needs. Santos had 74 tackles in the B12 in 2013. If he is healthy again, he would be a great addition to the defense and allow our young LBs to develop at a normal pace. Do unto others before they do unto you!!
Re: Texas LB Dalton Santos to Graduate Transferhe would make an immediate impact on our sorry D
