I guess I wouldn't expect anything different, it's a [deleted] situation for her seeing her dad publicly dragged through the mud. But I'll be interested to hear Art's side of the story someday....the report released today was not a good look for him (to say the least).

I can't fault her for defending her dad.

Also can't fault my first thought which is while she calls for her dad to be ''fought for and defended," she made no mention of the victims/complainants being deserving of same

Crazy how people accused of covering up sex crimes at universities have all been veritable saints. Can he just be a "good person"?

Yeah, that was basically the entire state of PA during Sandusky. Still is. Hopefully Baylor doesn't have the same level of universal stupid PSU does... Board members along the school to sue victims for slander.

The fact that he has a daughter, but chose to overlook his players actions, makes it even worse, IMO. He got what he deserved.

Not yet... wait until the civil lawsuits take his fortune away and he gets thrown in jail for a little while.. Then he will have gotten what he deserves.

What if it was his daughter that was one of the victims? What if she were at FSU and raped by Jameis Winston and it was systemically covered up?

I have had opportunities that I have not pursued because I perceived a high risk/lack of control that might effect me personally. Even though I am fairly risk averse, I make sure i can mitigate the level of risk whenever possible. Others clearly have higher risk/reward tolerances. Responsibility for a division 1 P5 football team has a significant amount of risk - outside of the obvious wins and losses. I haven't had insight into what Art knew but it could range from not knowing anything until recently, to knowing from the very start and covering everything up. The former is unfortunate, the latter unacceptable. Either way, he is ultimately responsible for the athletes he brought to the school and the staff he put in place, and took that risk when he accepted the position.

oh, the local sheriff's office ensured the answer to this was zero chance in hell of there being a case. Baylor ISD alleged to have had the same working relationship with the Waco police.. But it looks like they are going to get caught.

Side angle is how the state deals with the allegations of the police being complicit in this.
