Here is our conferences' sports standings based on Capital One cup scoring (http://www.capitalonecup.com/docs/Capit ... ucture.pdf). We are actually in a pretty good spot to attack the top. Just need to not have 0 points in football.

Notes:
- if there were no regular season standings then I used the tournament seedings to determine scoring...didn't factor in how teams did in aac tournament play
- golf got 0 due to postseason ban...could probably give us 20 points there.

With the Taj Ma-Tennis in place, you would think we would be ready to defend Wimbledon by now.

Based on the SMU student demographic, and comments from the kids on this board, SMU should be killin' it in tennis and golf! What's up with that?

We just won another National Championship in individual golf-last week. We weren't eligible for team championship-right? We've won as much National awards in Golf as just about any school in recent years

Oh, for the 90's when we were ranked high up many years, including top 20 a year or two I believe. Imagine if we had football then...might have funded a few more programs.

Future's bright!

- USGA Championships are a bigger deal than NCAA Championships

If we had 20 points or so in football we would at least be competing for #2 on this list. I hope the new natatorium will bring us up in men's swimming. With the improvements on campus perhaps some of the women's sports programs (like soccer) will grow and improve too. Pony Up!

Didn't we just make it to the round of 16 in tennis? Seems like it is trending the right direction.
