CINCINNATI — The further along Margus Hunt gets into his NFL career, the more he feels like he’s got to prove he really belongs – and fast.
The fourth-year Bengals defensive end has appeared in 27 games over the past three seasons but has seen limited snaps during that time while nursing injuries and still learning the sport he just began playing in 2009.
With Cincinnati returning its entire defensive line from last season and arguably boasting the most depth its seen since 2012, Hunt has some work to do to ensure he is not crowded out come the end of August. The 6-foot-8, 290-pound Estonian former track and field standout doesn’t use inexperience as an excuse but his time could be running out.
