When offensive lineman William Barns donned a green jersey (signifying limitation because of injury) during the Mustangs' spring workouts, rumors began to swirl about the future of the third-year interior lineman from Highland Park. Barns visited with PonyFans.com to confirm what many speculated — that his playing days are, in fact, behind him — and to discuss the factors that went into his decision and the reaction he got from the SMU coaches.

You're right. It is the wise thing to do.
We could use him as the young guys start to mature, but health and grad school are too important.
