Assuming the reports are correct and the ACC (including Notre Dame) are now committed through 2036, maybe SMU can sneak (or buy our way) into the Big XII. But I sorta agree with you that the likely outcome is some near-worst-case scenario of Houston, Memphis, Cincy and maybe a Florida AAC school going to the Big XII.
Otherwise, well, the PAC 12 revenue is woefully low versus expectations, so there may still be a shot there somehow. They don't have many options to add.
