If I am getting the channel now for giants vs Cubs will I get it tonight or will they blackout college football for some reason?

Just spoke with Directv. Even their customer service was confounded and said this didn't make sense.
It airs on 696 in the Bay Area. If I wanted to upgrade, then I can get that N. Cali sport's station.
That's about the only place it will air.

What happened to the days of Channel 21 or 39 carrying a local game between two local schools?

Same thing that happened to the days when we played in a conference with actual rival schools

My DirecTV is showing 696 so I'm pretty sure I'll get it. I do have the extended sports package.

You might want to double check it, though. Mine shows it too, but when I actually selected the channel I got a message that I needed to order it.
