The staff might want consider a wildcat package similar to what Texas is doing, the former QB is a beast......

Should have been worked in more., especially in the red zone.

I did not like the staff taking him out on 3rd and short and replacing him with West. Regarding the Wildcat package, we already worked that with Proche successfully at UNT.

He is still a true freshman who didn't get the benefit of Spring practices. As they get more comfortable with him, they'll trust him with more and more packages.

plus he's been a RB for about 4 weeks now-played QB in high school-probably has a very rudimentary understanding of his responsibilities-which is a big reason I'm so impressed with him

He was exhausted so they took him out. But that guy is awesome. Fumble was really more a great play by the defense than his fault.

Hoping Morris and Craddock are working with Freeman on some pass-option wrinkles ...... Ke'mon can chuck the pigskin 50-55 yards off his back foot. Take a peek at the HUDL videos. BIG PONY FUTURE!!!

Exactly! He has all the tools that's for sure. With a bit more coaching/experience at the position, he would have scored a TD and about 50 more yards (a couple of times he could have spun out of situations or better footwork on about 3-4 runs I saw). Kid is amazing. This staff of course gets it and I love these young kids (I think Alphonso Thomas could be better than all of them -- just think: X Jones, West, Freemon, Thomas - and we have a good one already committed next year . . . THAT'S depth!). Play em all. Stallion is right, don't worry so much about W/L this year, it's just getting them experience. Bowl next year and big time jump the next year and each class just keeps getting better (4 star in this one, and an OL at that! and maybe 1-2 more in next one).

So, Stallion, given what you saw at BU, would you say our defense is a little ahead of schedule than you originally thought or just way too soon to tell?

Morris is doing a good job of playing good amount of freshmen and redshirt freshmen. Very similar to what USF did to turn it around by their 3rd year. I think Ryan Becker was even out there playing TE on several occasions and well as Blake Carlisle on defense.
