It was good to see the great Chief Brown and the great Jerry LeVias on the field together.
Smallest crowd of TCU fans ever at Ford.
Decent turnout of SMU fans, but as mrydel told me before kickoff, SMU gave each 1st responder 4 free tickets...and we still couldn't fill the stadium against our biggest rival.
Big Stage on ESPN... blown opportunity-only game on at that time; unless you were a die hard TCU or SMU fan, the 2nd half was almost unwatchable.
RED ZONE BLUE (singular)
Whopping one trip to the red zone.
EXIT STAGE LEFT
When TCU went up 20-3 with 7:20 left in the 3rd quarter, there was a mass exodus to get out. Disappointing that fans bailed on the team so easily.
I guess the body language of the players helped fans grab a parachute quickly.
Coach Morris said he was disturbed by the response of his team in the 2nd half.
When Nick Natour got hurt, freshman OT Braxton Webb ran onto the field. During the timeout, it must've been determined the injury wasn't serious and Webb went back to the sideline...preserving his redshirt. Briggs flipped to left tackle and RS freshman Bryce Wilds went to RT.
Keyfer Roberts has been getting quite a few reps at backup DT, I didn't see him go in.
JC DT J T Williams got extended reps.
Iowa St. DT transfer Terry Ayeni has yet to play this season. Talking to Stallion before the game, we both wondered if he has a year to redshirt?
Kevin Thomas made his 1st catch of the season.
Alex Honey has yet to get off the schneid.
WHO GOT PUNKED:
O-LINE
D-line pass rush-Just Lawler was made invisible.
NON COMBATANTS:
The supposed blockers on our kick return, must be pacifist.
I said last week, that our kick coverage would be exposed.
Special teams-have very special problems. Gunners don't break down at the point of attack, players don't stay in their lanes and have reverted to poor fundamentals.

Spot on, and the fewer TCU fans at Ford the better. I liked the red. Just wished we had played better and TCU had been flagged more often for holding (because they did all night).

What conference were the refs from?

Big 12 but I did not see anything outrageous as far as calls.

#69 - Collins
Sections 106 and 107 were yelling about it all night. It was right in front of us, and he did called for it several times.

Don't doubt it but I doubt it was Big 12 initiated.

Refs and Replay officials were all American Athletic Conference.

Couple of other notes; it's disturbing, how bruised and battered this team is after just four games. We all know of the players that are out with injuries, but there were many more, that were getting medical attention during the game and looking like the walking wounded afterward.
Uniforms looked fine, as long as it's a one off type of deal.
Hope and Change:
The next time we win the opening coin toss, I vote to change things up and play defense first...and get the ball to start the second half.

Not what they said on the replay I just watched. Big 12 refs, AAC replay. Of course the announcers could have been mistaken.

Yeah I rewatched the game and below the name headline it said American Athletic Comference. May be the head ref is AAC with a Big 12 field crew

I wasn't really surprised by the exodus at that point. TCU scores a TD on the first play of the 3rd quarter, we march down the field and choose to kick a FG instead of just going for it, we miss said FG attempt, and then TCU scores again. That missed FG attempt was simply too conservative when we knew that TCU would put up a lot of points/our defense would be worn down.

Many fans believe we have begun the Bataan Death March to 2-10. I certainly hope not, but unless the proverbial light comes on for Ben Hicks...

Apparently beating SMU is good enough to get TCwho ranked #21...
