I'm being told by a reliable source that Cincy and UCONN will enter the Big XII tonight.
We'll see if she comes through. If so I can live with that.

that helps with BB, but doesn't bring much to the table regarding football, except that WV now has a few games closer to their neck of the woods. I would imagine that Tuberville just pooped himself if this turns out to be true.

UH would be devastated if true. And rightfully so. The B12 would be dead conference walking. They need to rebound big time on the football field and those two do zero for that. UConn vs. UT in October will be one hell of a tradition. Yikes!
Basketball would be very good though.

To answer my own question. Go regional. Add Texas State and UTSA. Just start slowly becoming the Texas conference instead of the American conference.

SMU's best bet is for the Big 12 to blow up (so that it can't poach the AAC) and then focus on the AAC. The AAC looks like a better and better decision these days. Wish it could add BYU.
Once the Big 12 dies and the other conferences take the "good" Big 12 teams, the AAC shouldn't have to worry. I guess we'll welcome Baylor to the AAC.

For the record I would hate to see Houston/Rice leave because that would hurt us the most, and Memphis leave for personal reasons.
