Thoughts on the game

I left at halftime. It has to be bad for me to leave at halftime.

We had one player show up. Justin Lawler.

We are horrible at kicking, punting, kick return, punt return, kick coverage and punt coverage. That is a coaching issue.

Other teams are just going to blitz us non-stop. We had one drive in the last 1.5 games where we adjusted to the blitz - the TD drive today we got rid of the ball quickly and threw it to the RB in the flat. Outside of that, no adjustments, just a disaster.

This team was totally unprepared.

Under June, we were used to the players not practicing at the speed of the game and taking a while to adjust. Did the team take this week off? Nobody was ready to play on offense or defense and were not ready for the speed of the game.

31-7 4th and 4 on their 35 and we punt? What? Morris quit in the second quarter. Disappointing.

Their team calling timeout after losing 5 to make it 3rd and 6 with a minute left in the first half when they were in horrible field position and up a ton told you everything. They didn't think we had a chance to come back and compete.

Yeah that punt was mystifying. That is what you do if your team is pretty good. Showed a bit of cluelessness on Chads part.

Nice HC crowd and we do that? Chad, you're gonna need to take it for this one.

waiting for footballdad to pounce on this one as there are plenty of opportunities to attack the coaching in this game

agree we weren't prepared for pressure Memphis put on Hicks and never made any adjustments

special teams are just a disaster

I agree the decision NOT to go for it on 4th down before the half gave the appearance of Chad waving the white flag

Just embarrassing. Looked like a Caven, Bennett Charlie Foxtrot. Certainly looked like a young team that hasn't grown up. Lesson learned today.

Beat ECU next week, a big IF, I know, and we are right back in the same boat.

Memphis is a much worse team than USF or Navy.

Punting in their territory when we are getting our asses kicked baffles me

A HUGE if...ECU is 3-1 at home including a win against NC State (big in-state rival and for them, a win equivalent to our beating TCU). The rest of this season could get REALLY ugly for our Mustangs.
