Special teams is terrible!!!

What is shocking is they just keep getting worse

I'm in favor with the kicking team kicking it out of bounds so the other team can't return it.

Best ST play was the start of the 2nd half - squib kick to their NT who still returned it for 5 yards.

The offense and defense were just as bad today.

It was a TEAM effort

Speaking of special teams...somebody needs to get a handle on our kicker, Josh Williams. The guy acts like a giant infant most games. For instance...last game they decided to punt and the kid threw a fit. Slammed his helmet on the bench and then threw it at practice net. I understand being passionate but this guy isnt des bryant...he's the freaking kicker. We've actually starting watching him stalk around as amusement during timeouts. But seriously...you can't be throwing temper tantrums as the kicker...and not exactly a very good one.

And a couple of games ago Ben Hicks got a sideline taunting penalty...gotta hand it to these guys, the don't let talent-level hold back their swagger.

Special teams illustrated succinctly

I thought it was telling when our ST representative as captain was the holder.

We score to make it briefly interesting, I go to the can and Memphis scored 7 in 10 seconds.
Awful. Then again fumble 2 plays touchdown. It was a horrific team effort.

I wonder if it has something to do with having an ST coach as more of a "consultant". The guy we "hired" came highly decorated but he couldn't be hired as a gameday on the field coach or something like that right? Am I getting that wrong?
