that game sucked. Particularly disappointing given the results of the prior weeks and opponent. I don't know why the team didn't show up.

We have 3 games left. 2 are at home. Win 2 and we go to a bowl. Make no mistake- all 3 will be hard to win. Each will require the team's best effort. Looking at the last 4, I knew we would not be favored in any of them.

Before the season this is what I predicted:

Houston-Loss
@Tulane-Win
Memphis-Loss
@ECU-Win
South Florida-Loss
Navy-Loss

I predicted we would be 4-4. I didn't think we'd get to 6. Schedule sucks this year. Wrong 1/2 of the East and all the winnable games on the road. Much rather play UCF, Cindy and Uconn. And we lost our QB.

I said this before: what Chad is doing is hard. Real F'ing hard. We should have fired JJ 2 years before we did, but didn't. You either fire a coach a year too early or a year too late. We are finding out what happens when you wait 2 years too long.

We will cruise to a bowl next year. Still have a chance for one this year.

People asking questions about Morris need to suck it up and grow a pair.

I gotta believe next year we'll be much improved. Talent level keeps moving up. As long as HCCM keeps the faith and doesn't pull a JJ depression recruiting lapse.

I agree and most of the kids he's recruiting come from winning programs. If you're used to winning, you don't really tolerate losing. Once these young pups become the leaders of the team, I'm hoping you won't see so much "quit" in the team which is the hardest thing for me to stomach (I can understand lack of talent but this team quit on the Memphis game last year and this year and it also seems they quit on the Temple and TCU games this year also . . . most disturbing part of the season for me, not so much the record as I predicted only 4 wins anyway ... if somebody told me we'd lose Matt, X. Jones, and Pursley - 3 of our 4 top offensive players - I'd say 2 games tops).

No comparison between Chad & JJ's level of commitment to this job. JJ did not want to leave Hawaii but his ego brought him here. He never appeared comfortable here. Chad was looking for the right opportunity that would allow him to come home as a Division I head coach and chose SMU. I believe Chad is driven to succeed in Texas and I'm confident he will in time.
