7 American teams have clinched bowl eligibility with SMU and Cincinnati still in contention for bowl eligibility.

So if we beat USF and Navy runs the table, there is a good chance our conference has 9 bowl bids.

Interesting if Houston beats Louisville and wins out, they should be highest rated G5 in my opinion. If we beat Navy, there might be a 3 way tie in West. Tiebreaker???

Houston needs both OU and Louisville to win the rest of their games in which case a Houston win against Louisville just might catapult them over Boise, SDSU & WMU because despite the "bad loss" to SMU, Houston would be able to claim victories against 2 Top 10 P5 schools and committee will be biased and give a lot more weight to those top tier P5 wins

I believe you also have to be a conference champ and Nagy beat Houston so I think they would be ahead of them.

Yes, Navy would need to lose their final two conference games (against ECU and SMU) for UH to go to the Conference Championship and have a chance for the G5 spot in the access bowls.
