Anybody have a problem with Van Malone taking over, just for continuity sake? I certainly don't.

If he is leaving he probably is making the right business move. Its his business, and its our hobby or passion or whatever - but most of us don't feed ourselves with SMU sports. I don't blame him for saying yes to doubling your salary and moving up the NCAA pecking order. I personally think he could do better but its his call. No need to denigrate the guy - he worked hard and did what he said. No complaints. These guys don't coach for life anymore.

It doesn't actually say he accepted. It says according to the source the deal is 95% done. However, I've already moved on mentally. I hope we make a good hire.
