Herman is in position to enjoy a bidding war for his services, all because he inherited a team with a proven offensive catalyst in Ward. I could make an argument that Morris is a much better candidate long term at Texas, but for Charlie Strong's sake, I'd like to see Texas roll TCU.

It's not coincidence that the Herman to LSU rumors started around the same time that UT said Strong might keep his job if he gets to a bowl game.

If Herman picks LSU over UT, it will be a very strong indicator that the coaching community doesn't think as much of UT as UT does.

Watch the rumblings out of A&M. If Herman goes to LSU he is going to decimate the A&M recruiting ground. Don't be surprised if A&M enters the fray.

If the LSU rumor was thrown out there by Herman's agent, it is a great move to run up the bidding war.

UT will not hire Morris at this point in time.

You are crazy if you think that is a possibility. They think they have the best job in CFB and wouldn't hire a second year coach with a losing record. Hell they were upset when they hired Strong and he was a much hotter commodity than HCCM is now.

Baylor will hire Morris. And 6-6 would not be a losing recruit if they beat Navy. And considering the mess June Jones left him. In fact with the mess June Jones left it 5 or 6 wins might be equivalent to a 10'win season at any other school.
