Apparently UT people don't believe that Herman is close to a deal with L SU.

I could make an argument that Morris is a much better candidate long term at Texas, but for Charlie Strong's sake, I'd like to see Texas roll TCU.

If Herman picks LSU over UT, it will be a very strong indicator that the coaching community doesn't think as much of UT as UT does.
Watch the rumblings out of A&M. If Herman goes to LSU he is going to decimate the A&M recruiting ground. Don't be surprised if A&M enters the fray.
If the LSU rumor was thrown out there by Herman's agent, it is a great move to run up the bidding war.

You are crazy if you think that is a possibility. They think they have the best job in CFB and wouldn't hire a second year coach with a losing record. Hell they were upset when they hired Strong and he was a much hotter commodity than HCCM is now.

Baylor will hire Morris. And 6-6 would not be a losing recruit if they beat Navy. And considering the mess June Jones left him. In fact with the mess June Jones left it 5 or 6 wins might be equivalent to a 10'win season at any other school.
