The AAC has 5 teams with a shot to win 10+ games. The only other conference that can match that is the Big 10.

Temple has thrived in the AAC.... no reason SMU can't do the same.

At the SMU-Navy game last year, I noticed that a significant % of the people at games weren't locals. It seemed like everyone in our hotel was there to see the game.

With so many Navy people gearing up for the Army-Navy game next week, I suspect the game yesterday wasn't worth an extra trip.

I think Navy's stadium is pretty much the same size as the population of Annapolis, so most people attending their games have to travel, although a lot of them are probably in the Balt/Wash area

Navy's got bigger things to worry about than winning a football game.

But I think they should tried to hold it at Veteran's stadium in Philly, which is a common stadium for both of them.

I think I saw some Navy fan explain that many of their home games are designated "reunions" for different classes, so an extra home game that wasn't scheduled from the beginning of the year lacks that traffic. Also, they get some/lots of local Annapolis people that buy season tickets, who come to the first several home games, but usually stop showing up once it gets into the holidays and it gets colder out.

Temple is about an hour from Annapolis. It sounded like they brought a crowd.
