I'm surprised basketball has raised more money than football in this campaign, but we did raise more than track and field and equestrian.

Hard to believe since equestrian is a perennial top-10 power.

Track should be turned into a training camp for football. Hell, the old track coach trained Margus. Like for real...minimal football strength & conditioning workouts.

Aren't there only 12 equestrian teams?

My sarcasm game is off. Equestrian is crazy. Every article is "SMU downs top-10 program NM State!!!".

It did not even meet its requirements to be an actual NCAA sport but still is because if the NCAA dumped it, schools (like us) wouldn't have enough sports to qualify as D1.

True the NCAA recommended dropping it but gave them a few more years. If the NCAA dropped equestrian there are plenty of other sports we could add to meet Title IX like softball, lacrosse, etc. We could even add inexpensive stuff like sand volleyball, bowling, and rifle.

I would be interesting to see how much money football would raise if the campaign was in December and the Ponies were ranked 12 and heading to a big bowl.

A few more years... come on. No school in their right mind is going to add equestrian. Ncaa just doesn't want the enforcement hassle.

If they had a fundraiser yesterday to get some showgirls at SMU the site might have crashed.

Who ever is in charge of the Conditioning program at TCU is doing a fine job. I'd say their condition is strong to quite strong
